“All the world’s a stage,” Shakespeare said. “And all the men and women merely players.” Clyde Dowell’s stage and his players are living proof that lessons can be learned between the fun and games."

"It is indeed an appealing book. I can appreciate your characters since I was an Active Duty Servicewoman who recently retired, has traveled stateside and overseas and who recognizes similiar characters. It is a fascinating book that held my attention. I usually take "a while" to read books but I finished your book within one week. That says something powerful."

"As a person that reads mostly comic books, Greek mythology, & history books, WOMEN CAN'T PLAY was a nice change-up. I think the stories of Preston & Charles were very nice & I'd like to see them continue but I think the deep & saddened history of Shelia was one of the most intriguing characters I have ever read about..I think she needs her own book or short story. I want to know more about her!"

"Excellent Book! It gives you some insight into the life of a military spouse from a very diversified standpoint.
Great Job Clyde."

I really enjoyed this book. When I finally started reading the book, I couldn't put it down. Thank God we had a snow storm... I had plenty of time to read the book and was finished in no time. I felt like I knew the people and I am familiar with the places and colleges that you referred to in the book. I have now referred the book to my Mother who also loves to read. Hopefully, you'll be writing another book soon. I'm looking forward to it.
